Since 1971 The Pickle Barrel began with a mission. We believed that amazing dining experiences didn’t need to be elitist, so we began a restaurant that combined ‘quality’ with ‘incredible value’. Our origins were humble; there were six of us working hard to open an 85-seat deli on Leslie Street in Toronto. Still, our vision captured people’s attention, and when our doors opened in 1971, there was already a line up outside. Today we have restaurants across Greater Toronto, our menu has 300 items and we have over 1,000 employees. One thing that hasn’t changed though is our mission. We still have many of our original customers too (we just have a lot more to keep them company).
